The heart behind the lens
Hello I’m Francesca – the heart and soul behind F. Edwards Photography, nestled in the charming town of Sudbury, Suffolk. I specialise in newborn, baby and toddler portraits, turning fleeting expressions into touching heirlooms.
How I got here
My love for photography began during my BA (Hons) Fine Art degree, where I explored the creative and technical foundations of the art. From there, I worked as a product photographer, developing a sharp eye for detail and precision – skills that now bring a thoughtful, artistic touch to my family and baby sessions.
When I had my own daughter, photography became something even more meaningful. What started as a passion project to capture her milestones soon grew into a heartfelt business – one built on the desire to create photographs that other families can cherish just as much as I do mine.
My vision
As a fellow mum of a toddler, I understand that patience is key. Working with little ones takes time, care and flexibility – and that’s the approach I bring to every session. My photography is all about preserving those fleeting moments: the quiet cuddles, the little giggles, the way your baby looks up at you. I focus on capturing the natural moments you share with your little one, rather than creating overly posed or heavily edited images. That way, your gallery feels authentic, timeless, and truly yours.
Whether you’re welcoming a newborn, or celebrating a milestone, my goal is to create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where you and your baby can simply be yourselves. I offer sessions in my purpose-designed home studio, in the comfort of your own home, or at a location that holds special meaning for you.
